Campaign Report
To date I've raised $6,348 for my campaign, most in amounts under $50. Two-thirds of it is still unspent. I'm told I will need about twenty times that to be dangerous, so keep it coming. My online newspaper ads will start popping up in a week or so. Other than that I've bought the Democratic Party online voter list (almost $1K), yard signs, paper handouts, and a staple gun. If the ads do well (raise money) I'll keep buying them. The website is getting a remodel. With a decent bump in fund-raising, I can start buying tens of thousands of mailers and pay enterprising youths to canvass for me.
My Democratic primary opponent is Rob Banse, a retired Episcopalian minister. We had lunch. He's a lovely guy. Check out his website robbanse.com and mine maxspeak.net and decide which message you'd rather help broadcast. His will work better on some people, maybe mine will on others. Whoever wins will support the other against the revolting Geary Higgins in November.
Onward!
