The Loudoun County MAGA Outrage Machine has been cranked up again. This time it’s a close replay of the bogus scandal of 2021, when liberals in a Facebook group said hurtful things about local neo-fascists. Then it was a private anti-racist parents’ group. (It’s rural Virginia, where anti-racism is controversial.) At least one person in the group suggested illegal harassment of a political adversary. Nobody actually did anything. At any rate, this was inflated into a group conspiracy that rendered everyone in the group guilty, of something. Enough of a fuss was raised to prompt an investigation by our local Trumpy sheriff, one Mike Chapman. The investigation found nothing illegal.
